Here you’ll find answers to the questions I’m asked most often. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, please just get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: I cover Cumbernauld and the surrounding areas. I can also travel further depending on availability. If you are unsure if you are in my service area, please get in touch!
Q: Do you only look after dogs and cats?
A: Not at all! I love all animals. I have experience and qualifications in caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and other exotic pets.
Q: Is your service insured?
A: Yes, I am fully insured for peace of mind. You can relax knowing your pets and your home are protected.
Q: What happens in an emergency?
A: Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I am trained in animal care and will always act in your pet's best interests. I will contact you immediately, and if necessary, take your pet to the vet straight away. All costs for treatment are your responsibility, as set out in my terms and conditions.
Q: How does the Meet & Greet work?
A: I offer a free, no-obligation chat at your home. This gives us a chance to meet, go through your pet’s routine, and lets your pets get to know me before you go away.
Q: Will you send updates while I'm away?
A: Absolutely! I know how much you miss them. I am happy to send text messages and photos so you can see how happy and relaxed your pets are.
Q: Do I need to provide equipment?
A: Yes, please provide your pet’s usual food, leads, bedding, and any medication they need. Keeping to their familiar routine helps prevent stress.
Q: What if I need to cancel?
A: I understand plans change! Please let me know as soon as possible. You can find my full cancellation policy here: Terms & Conditions.
Q: What services do you offer?
A: I provide flexible, reliable pet care:
Dog Walking – max 2 dogs per walk, ad hoc only
Drop‑In Visits – pop‑ins to feed, water, let out and keep your pets company
Overnight Home Sitting – I stay in your home while you’re away – way better than kennels
Wedding Dog Chaperone – let your dog be part of your big day, with full care from me
All services are available whenever you need me, subject to availability.
Q: Do you offer home boarding?
A: No, I don’t offer home boarding. I don’t hold the licence needed to provide this service, so it is not something I am able to offer.
Instead, I provide House sitting — where I come and stay in your home while you’re away. Your pets get to stay in the place they know and love, sleep in their own beds, and keep the same routine they’re used to. I’m there to feed them, play with them and keep them company, so they don’t feel lonely or unsettled.
It works perfectly whether you have one dog or several, plus any other pets too. Just send me a message to find out more!
Q: Why choose overnight sitting over kennels?
A: Kennels mean new places, new smells, new animals and a whole new routine — which can be really stressful for pets. When I stay in your home, everything stays the same. Your pets feel safe and happy, and you don’t have to worry about them being upset or anxious while you’re gone. It really is the kindest option for them.
Q: How many dogs can you care for?
A: When walking: I only ever walk up to 2 dogs at once — this keeps everyone safe and means I can give them all my attention.
For all other services: I can look after any number of dogs, plus cats and small animals. Being in their own home makes it easy to manage everyone’s different needs and personalities.
Q: Can I book you for regular weekly visits or walks?
A: All my services are ad hoc only. I don’t take on fixed ongoing bookings, but I’m here whenever you need me — just get in touch and I’ll let you know if I’m available.
Q: What do you need from me before you start?
A: I’ll need to know all about your pets, their routines, any health issues, how to access your home and who to contact in an emergency. We’ll meet beforehand so I can get to know your pets and make sure I understand exactly what you need.
