These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Playful Pals Pet Care. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.
đź“‹Services Provided
I offer the following services:
      Dog Walking – individual or group walks, maximum 2 dogs at one time
      Drop‑In Visits – home visits to feed, water, toilet and care for pets
      Overnight Home Sitting – staying in your home to care for your pets and property
      Wedding Dog Chaperone – collection, transport, care and supervision of your dog throughout your wedding day
All services are offered on an ad hoc basis only — no ongoing regular booking commitments are made unless agreed in writing. Availability is subject to existing bookings and capacity.
đź“… Booking and Availability
All bookings are confirmed only once details have been agreed and any required deposit or payment has been received.
Wedding chaperone bookings: Please book as early as possible — dates are reserved on a first‑come, first‑served basis and can get booked up quickly. A non‑refundable deposit may be required to secure your date.
For all services, please provide as much notice as possible; same‑day bookings will be accepted only if I have availability.
I will confirm all bookings in writing (email or message) with dates, times and service details.
🧑‍⚕️ Pet Health and Safety
You must inform me of any health conditions, allergies, medications, behavioural issues or special requirements your pet has — this information will be treated confidentially.
If your pet requires medication, clear written instructions must be provided. I will administer medication as instructed but cannot accept responsibility for any reactions or side effects.
In the event of an emergency or illness, I will make every effort to contact you or your nominated emergency contact immediately. If urgent veterinary treatment is required and I cannot reach you, I am authorised to seek treatment at your expense.
đźš— Transport and Travel
Wedding chaperone and any other services involving travel: I will transport your pet safely and securely, complying with all legal requirements for animal travel. This means your dog will need to have a harness for transport.
I am happy to travel within Cumbernauld; travel outside this area may incur an additional fee, which will be agreed before booking is confirmed.
You are responsible for ensuring your pet is suitable for travel and comfortable being transported.
🏟️ Venue and Property Access
Wedding chaperone: You are responsible for confirming that your venue permits dogs and for sharing all venue rules and restrictions with me in advance. I will follow all venue policies while on site.
 For drop‑in visits and overnight sitting, you will provide me with secure access to your home (keys, access codes or arrangements for entry/exit). I will treat your property with care and respect, and keep access details secure.
I am not responsible for any damage or loss to your property caused by your pets, or damage caused by structural faults, wear and tear, or unforeseen events.
đź’° Fees and Payment
Fees vary depending on the service, duration, number of pets and travel required. Current rates are available on request or listed on my website.
Payment is due as agreed — this may be on booking, before the service commences, or immediately after. Accepted payment methods: bank transfer or cash.
Wedding bookings: A deposit of ÂŁ50 is required to secure your date, with the balance payable 1 week before the wedding date.
 Any additional costs incurred at your request (e.g. extra travel, supplies, or special arrangements) will be charged separately.
❌ Cancellations and Changes
 If you need to cancel or change your booking, please let me know as soon as possible.
 General bookings:
   Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the service start time: no charge or full refund.
   Cancellations made within 48 hours: 50% of the total fee may be charged.
   Cancellations made within 24 hours or non‑attendance: full fee is payable.
Wedding chaperone bookings:
  Deposits are non‑refundable once the date is secured.
  Cancellations made more than 8 weeks before the date: 50% of the total fee will be payable.
  Cancellations made within 8 weeks: full fee is payable.
If I am unable to provide the service due to illness, emergency or unforeseen circumstances, I will refund any payments you have made in full or arrange alternative cover where possible.
🤝 Responsibilities and Liability
I will take all reasonable care and attention when caring for your pets and property.
I cannot be held responsible for any injury, illness, loss or behavioural changes to your pet while in my care, unless caused by my negligence or wilful misconduct.
You remain fully liable for any damage or injury caused by your pet to people, property or other animals.
                   I am fully insured for public liability and care, custody and control of animals — details of insurance are available on request.
📸 Photos and Updates
 I may take photos or videos of your pets during services to send to you as updates.
 With your permission, I may also use these images on my website or social media to showcase my services — if you do not wish this to happen, please let me know.
📞 Contact and Emergencies
  You will provide me with up‑to‑date contact details and an alternative emergency contact person.
 I will keep you updated throughout your booking, and will contact you immediately if any concerns or issues arise.
